Note (General): 本遺跡は、金目川左岸に形成された砂州・砂丘域に立地し、推定相模国府域の北端にあたる位置にある。近世面では耕作痕と考えられる小溝群が主体的に検出された。小溝の覆土中には宝永火山灰の混在が認められるとともに、1区の小溝からは17世紀～19世紀前半に収まる陶磁器類が出土した。2区では近世と推測される井戸も検出されている。中世面では溝群と土坑群が検出された。溝は耕作痕および区画溝と考えられるものに類別できた。土坑は円形土坑が主体となる。奈良・平安時代の調査面では竪穴住居跡は古いもので8世紀第3四半期、新しいものでは10世紀前半の時期となる。また、2区では砂丘列を横断する南北方向の溝が検出された。10世紀前半の時期が推定できるもので、集落に伴う区画溝の可能性がある。
