Note (General)：: 本遺跡は東を鳴沢川に画され、西を下位段丘に挟まれた、吾妻川右岸上位段丘面上に立地する。遺跡地周辺は、古墳時代後期初頭（6 世紀初頭）の榛名山を起源とする火砕流に埋没しており、火砕流層上に古代以降の遺構群が残る。平安時代の竪穴建物と中世の建物群や土坑群、近世以降の耕作遺構等が確認された。
