- 出版タイプ： NA金沢城下町遺跡は金沢城下に形成された近世城下町遺跡であり、本調査区の位置する東兼六町5 番地区は、金沢城跡の南東にある小立野寺院群に属する鶴林寺・雲龍寺の旧墓地跡である。調査の結果、小立野台地の崖地を造成して営まれた両寺の墓地は大きく2 段階の経過を経ていることを確認した。第1 面は墓地廃絶後の状況を残すもので、墓の基礎や区画、移転に漏れた蔵骨器などを確認している。第2 面は17 世紀後半～ 19 世紀半ばの墓坑群（土葬・火葬）を確認した。墓坑は土葬墓が主であり、木棺と甕棺を併用し続けている。火葬は陶磁器を蔵骨器に転用するものと土師質の専用器である蔵骨器を用いるものの2 種類があった。寺伝等では江戸時代初期からこの地にあったことが見え、墓石銘や甕棺の年代からは17 世紀後半～ 18 世紀初めに造墓活動がさかんになったことがうかがえる。 墓碑銘や侍帳などから、鶴林寺・雲龍寺は加賀藩の中～下級武士の菩提寺であったことがわかり、まとまった武士階級の墓地の調査として重要な調査である。
