Note (General): 国庫補助事業として仙台城跡第32次、33次、34次調査を実施した。調査の結果、第32次調査の登城路跡では、これまで確認されていなかった巽門西側石垣の延長を検出し、清水門跡へと至るルートの一部を確認することができた。第33次調査の三の丸土塁では、江戸時代の可能性がある集石遺構を検出したが、遺構や遺物は希薄であり、土塀などの構築物の痕跡は確認できなかった。第34次調査の清水門北側石垣の測量では、平成13年度に行った測量成果と比較することが出来るようになり、震災による影響や今後の修復工事に活かすことが出来る資料を得られた。また、石垣前面にある礎石の測量も行い、対面にある清水門跡の礎石と高さが異なることが判明した。
