Note (General): 本報告は、西普天間住宅地区変換跡地（旧キャンプ瑞慶覧）内において、当該地区の西側に位置する斜面緑地に分布する遺跡について、埋蔵文化財の有無を確認するための試掘調査や表面踏査などの分布調査の成果をまとめたものである。　平成28年度は喜友名山川原第四遺跡、喜友名貝塚・喜友名グスクの試掘調査と喜友名区の斜面緑地及び湧泉周辺の分布調査を実施。古墓や洞穴、石積みなど多数の遺構が確認された。　平成29年度は、喜友名下原第三遺跡の試掘・確認調査を実施。当該地区は海岸低地に位置し、現地表面から約4ｍ下まで確認した。遺構や遺物は得られなかったが、低地部における水田利用や自然堆積の状況などが確認された。　平成30年度は喜友名山川原第四遺跡の確認調査ち喜友名ミーガー古湧泉の範囲確認調査、新城シンバルガー古湧泉の試掘調査を実施した。喜友名ミーガー古湧泉では戦後米軍によって埋められた湧泉の石積み本体が当時のまま残存していることが判明し、跡地利用計画における公園計画の中で活用するための資料を得ることができた。
