第７・８次調査では、南北方向に中世の２号溝状遺構が確認され、これまでに杉久保遺跡で確認されている大規模な中世区画溝の一部とみられる。縄文時代の遺構としては、中期勝坂期の住居跡１軒のほか称名寺式期から堀之内式期後期の住居跡が調査区内に少なくとも３軒以上あったことがわかった。また、縄文時代のピットが非常に多く確認された。杉久保遺跡は丘陵の南西側に縄文時代中期の住居跡が集中しており、北側に縄文時代後期の住居跡が多くみられる傾向にある。今回の調査区周辺に縄文時代後期集落の一つのまとまりがあったものとみられる。
