Note (General): 本書に所収された発掘調査はすべて九大箱崎キャンパス跡地内で実施されたものである。これらの調査によって従来不明であった箱崎遺跡北端部の様相が一部ながら明らかになった。いずれの調査においても既存建物の基礎によって遺構は大きく破壊されていたものの、鎌倉時代から室町時代までの遺構・遺物が検出された。遺構は土壙・井戸・木棺墓・溝・鍛冶炉・柱穴等で、第92次調査では、地割りや整地に関わる溝や、土師器埋納遺構が確認されている。第102次調査では土壙墓から全身を判別できる人骨が出土したほか、井戸は井戸側の違いから時期の変遷をたどることができる。遺物は中国製陶磁器のほか、土師器・蛸壺・鉄滓・石錘等が出土した。第108次調査では井戸から高麗象嵌青磁片が出土している。
