朝倉下下経田遺跡は今治平野内陸部の頓田川中流域左岸に所在する弥生時代中期末から中世までの複合遺跡である。平形銅剣埋納遺構が検出された経田遺跡が南東側に隣接する。弥生時代中期末は経田遺跡を中心とした集落の縁辺部に位置し、弥生時代後期に集落は一旦途切れ、弥生時代後期後半から古墳時代前期に大規模集落が形成...
