Note (General): 調査地は遺跡の中央部に位置する。調査地の西側では1 次・5 次調査が行わており、弥生時代前期末～後期初頭の竪穴住居を主体として古代、中世の遺構が見られる。今回の調査では、地表から約40cm 掘り下げた地点で鳥栖ローム層を地山とする遺構面を検出した。遺構は溝4 条と大型の土壙7 基、ピットを検出した。幅3 ｍを測る大溝ＳＤ004 は調査区南端でほぼ直角に屈曲し、方形区画と考えられる。遺物は土師皿を主体として貿易陶磁器が出土している。少量の弥生土器や須恵器も出土しており、本来は当該期の遺跡も広がっていた可能性が高い。検出した遺構の時期はいずれも15 ～ 16 世紀頃のものであり、特にＳＤ004 は中世後半の居館や山城等に関連するものと考えられる。
