Note (General): 遠台遺跡からは，堀跡が検出され，13 ～ 14 世紀と16 世紀末～ 17 世紀前半に二分される遺物が出土している。前者は常滑製品の数量が多く，後者は瀬戸・美濃製品が主体になっていた。堀跡は推定幅５ｍで，直線状に100ｍ以上にわたり構築され，近世初頭に機能した城館跡の一部と判断される｡　八幡神社周辺古墳群では，現存する第11号墳の周溝が検出されている。第11号墳の形態は円墳で墳丘の直径は26ｍ，周溝の上端幅は6.5ｍと推定された。周溝内からは，朝顔形と円筒埴輪，土師器の坏が出土しており，6 世紀前半に比定した。
