Note (General): 調査地は、武家地であった松本城三の丸内の土居尻という地区に位置する。西区では、絵図に描かれているとおり西総堀の三の丸際法面と土塁基底部を検出し、その境界のテラスに打ち込まれた杭列が見つかった。東区は武家屋敷地内であり、Ⅰ～Ⅲ検で17世紀前半～幕末までの多くの遺構・遺物を確認した。16世紀代に帰属するⅣ検では、人形や斎串等の木製祭祀具が多く出土しており、松本城期以前に祭祀的空間が広がっていたことが判明した。また、Ⅴ検からは、三の丸跡範囲で初めて平安時代の遺構を確認することができた。
