久保田牧遺跡は，大隅半島のほぼ中央部に位置する鹿屋市吾平町にあり，姶良川と大姶良川に挟まれた標高41～ 43 ｍ前後のシラス台地の東側縁辺部にあり，縄文時代から中世にわたる複合遺跡である。縄文時代早期～晩期，弥生時代・古墳時代・古代・中世・近世の遺構や遺物が発見され，各時代の集落や人々の活動の場とし...
