Note (General): 南日詰大銀Ⅱ遺跡は、過去の調査成果から古代末期（12世紀前半代）の居館と考えられる遺跡であり、今回が第4次の調査となる。遺構は掘立柱建物が主体であり、12世紀代に属するものも多い。また、調査区北端で検出された溝（SD01）は走行方向から西側に隣接する南日詰小路口Ⅰ・Ⅱ遺跡SD34と同じものであり、居館の外縁に巡らされた区画溝と考えられる。遺物はかわらけをはじめとして12世紀中葉頃のものが多く、特にSD01からは多量のかわらけが出土している。また、掘立柱建物や炉は中世（15～16世紀代）に属するものも検出されている。　北日詰城内Ⅰ遺跡は、南日詰大銀Ⅱ遺跡と北条館跡の間に位置しており、今回の調査区は北条館跡の南端を区画する堀に隣接する範囲である。遺物が出土する遺構は少ないが、放射性炭素年代測定の結果から15～16世紀代に属するものが主体であると考えられる。なかには工房と推定される竪穴建物も含まれており、北条館の城域外に位置する本遺跡でも鍛冶等の生産活動が行われていたと考えられる。
