Note (General): 平成30年度の西日本豪雨により沈下した東石塁の災害復旧事業に関する報告書である。本事業は土塁の発掘調査、石塁解体、石塁復元、報告書作成を平成31年度～令和4年度の4ヶ年で実施した。　東石塁の基礎は谷部に堆積した砂質土上に栗石を敷き詰めたものであり、根石は断面系が三角形を呈するものを用いていることが分かった。築石は全6段あり、各所に切り欠きを施しながら布積みする。石塁の天端には版築土塁を確認している。　石塁沈下の原因は基礎の砂質土と栗石の流出にあると考えられたため、砂質土を除去し鋼製かご枠を設置して栗石を充填した。石積みは石材調査票をもとに作成した復元図に則り実施した。石塁天端の版築土塁は版築工法により復元したが、再度崩落する危険があるため勾配は緩くしている。石塁復元後は上から4段目まで埋め戻し、版築土塁含め表面に芝を張り、雨水による浸食防止を図った。
