Note (General): 今回の発掘調査地は、井相田 A 遺跡の北端に位置する。検出した遺構は古墳時代と鎌倉時代の２つの時期に分かれるが、古墳時代の竪穴住居跡には柱を据え替えている状況がみられ、長期にわたって住居が維持されていたことがうかがえる。また、鎌倉時代の溝は集落の北辺を示す区画溝だった可能性がある。なお、鎌倉時代の遺構は人為的な整地層を伴う。また、調査地の北辺は崖となっていたことを確認した。この崖が井相田Ａ遺跡の北を限る可能性が高い。出土遺物から、この崖は昭和40年代の区画整理にともない埋められたことが確認でき、このとき現在みられる街区が成立したものと考えられる。
