Note (General): 納戸町遺跡（新宿区 No.120）は、JR 市ヶ谷駅の北西側の高台に位置する、江戸時代の武家屋敷を中心とする遺跡である。調査では、17 世紀の鷹匠組屋敷、18 世紀から幕末にいたる旗本・御家人屋敷の掘立柱建物、礎石建物、井戸、溝、地下室等が検出された。18 世紀後葉から 19世紀前葉の遺構がもっとも多く、各種の陶磁器類とともに、京焼の陶工、尾形乾山による乾山焼の皿や、黄色・青色ガラス製の小坏などが認められる。また、近代の遺構からは禁裏様式の範疇で捉えうる碗と皿などが出土した。今回の調査では、鷹匠や旗本・御家人の暮らしぶりがうかがえるとともに、17 世紀から幕末、さらに近代にかけての屋敷地の移り変わりを明らかにすることができた。
