Note (General): 周知の埋蔵文化財包蔵地である甲府城下町遺跡のうち、甲府城より南南東約740ⅿの中央４丁目347地点の発掘調査である。調査地は、近世において甲府城三の堀郭内の下府中の町人地である柳町三丁目に所在し、甲州道中に面するとともに、付近に問屋場が置かれていたことが絵図等から確認できる。極小範囲の発掘調査であるが、遺構として18世紀から19世紀の近世に当たる廃棄土坑や水路跡が検出されるとともに、近代の建物柱跡が検出された。　近世に構築され埋没した廃棄土坑は、近代においても同位置で廃棄行為が行われていたことが確認され、敷地内の一定の場所が廃棄場所として継続利用されていたと推定される。
