Note (General): 古墳時代前期では土師器が多量に出土する流路を検出した。土師器の多くは流路上面で出土しており、流路が埋没しつつある状態で投棄されたとみられる。土師器の他に管玉も1点出土しており、祭祀行為に関連する遺物とも考えられる。また足原田遺跡の古墳時代としては初めての竪穴建物を3軒検出した。　奈良・平安時代では遺構の検出は少なく、竪穴建物は1軒のみである。遺物も多くはないが、一定量出土しており、甲斐型土器の初期段階に位置づけられる土器が目立つ。特に漆付着土器（漆パレット）の出土は当地としては希少なものである。　中世では溝状遺構・流路と、中世と推定される掘立柱建物1軒・Pitなどを検出した。溝状遺構の一つは、その近辺から多数のPitを検出し青磁なども出土したことから屋敷地の区画溝とも考えられるものである。フイゴ羽口や鉄滓の出土は既往の隣接地調査でも確認されており、鍛冶関連の生業が当地で盛んに行われていたことを改めて示すこととなった。　また今回の調査でも広い範囲で河川氾濫の痕跡を確認した。
