栄養士の栄養指導の支援を主な目的とし「日本人の食事摂取基準2005年度版」と「5訂増補日本食品標準成分表」に準拠した、栄養価計算を目的としたサイズの小さいソフトウェアの開発を、表計算ソフトウェアを用いて行った。このソフトでは、性・年齢・妊娠・授乳および身体活動強度に基づいて食事摂取基準値が決定され、さらに医師・栄養士による調整も可能である。食品番号と使用量を入力して、各食品、朝昼夕間食の各食事および1日の栄養素摂取量を算出する。このソフトウェアの利点は、構造を単純化したため、操作の容易さと計算結果を統計などの他のソフトウェアで容易に利用できることなどである。
To assist nutritionists, especially for their nutrition guidance, we have developed a small computer program which use spreadsheet software to evaluate the nutrient intake in conformity with the Dietary Reference Intake, 2005 and with Standard tables of Food Composition in Japan Fifth Revised and Enlarged Edition. Using data on gender, age, level of physical activity, and pregnancy/nursing, this program evaluates the dietary reference intake, which can be adjusted by the doctor or the nutritionist. Using the code and weight of each food, the software calculates nutrient values for individual food, each meal, and whole-day nutrient intake. The advantages of this software are its simplicity of operation and accessibility of its output by other programs, including statistical analysis.
