• Note (General): type:Thesis; I have revealed the effects of coating process conditions on structures and properties of pressure-sensitive adhesive layers composed of di- and tri-block copolymers forming spherical microdomains. Two different types of the coating process have been examined; the solution coating (by solvent evaporation from solutions) and the hot-melt coating (by solidification from melt). Although the latter solvent-free process is much preferred, the coated layer by this method has poorer mechanical properties. Since it is important to understand the structure-property relationship to improve their mechanical properties, I have conducted precise structural analyses by two-dimensional small-angle X-ray scattering measurements and by atomic force microscopy observations.
