Note (General): type:研究報告書
熊本県下益城郡美里町において歴史的に価値のある文化遺産である石橋や用水路などの土木遺産、寺社や町並みの建築物及び景観地を対象に、現地調査及び既存の資料を参考にして調べた。現地調査では美里町の文化遺産の分布や現状について把握した。調査の結果、美里町は、1)生活用水として活用されている用水路が多い釈迦院川を中心とした地区、2)古い町並みと素晴らしい景観地を有する津留川を中心とした地区、及び3)棚田が保存されている小崎地区が、文化遺産として優れた地区であることが確認できた。これらを野外博物館化することにより、まちづくりとして展示･利用可能で博物館の要素として適しているかどうかの評価･検討を行った。また、まちづくりに活用するための、これらの文化遺産を整備･改修する場合の問題点も把握した。
