エイズ関連悪性リンパ腫の合併は世界的にも日本国内でも増加しており、治療困難例が多いこともあって、エイズ患者の長期予後を大きく規定する。そこで、日本人に最適化されたエイズリンパ腫の標準的治療法の確立を目指して、「治療指針」の策定と多施設共同研究を展開する。更に、治療不応例・再発例へのサルベージ療法の確立、病態解析に基づいた新規治療法の開発とマウスを用いたエイズリンパ腫発症・治療のモデルの樹立により、長期的視野に立ったエイズリンパ腫の多面的治療戦略を展開する。
