マウスインフルエンザウイルス急性肺傷害モデルを用いて、一酸化窒素と活性酸素種によるニトロ化ストレスが、病態に及ぼす影響ついて解析を行った。その結果、ニトロ化ストレスにより、感染肺局所にて8-ニトロ-cGMP が生じ、HO-1 をはじめとする酸化ストＰレス応答を制御するシグナル分子として、肺傷害や肺線維化の病態形成に関与している可能性が示唆された。今後、この知見を間質性肺炎の新たな治療戦略へ応用することが期待される。
