われわれは、胃癌発生における骨髄由来細胞の関与について、胃腫瘍を自然発生するトランスジェニックマウスを用いて検証を行った。本研究では、骨髄由来細胞である間葉系幹細胞（MSC；GFP マウス骨髄由来）及び造血幹細胞（HSC；RFP マウス骨髄由来）を用いた混合移植を行った。結果として、胃癌の発生において、骨髄由来細胞であるMSC 及びHCS の明確な関与は示唆されなかった。
