TNFα受容体を介するシグナル系は、細胞死と生存という相反する作用があり、その作用に対する明快な説明がない。そこで、我々はTNFシグナリングの解析を行ってきた。TRAF6欠損細胞を用いた研究から、1）TARF6はTNFシグナリングにおいて、負の制御をしている。2）IL-33に低反応であり、そのシグナル系にTRAF6が重要な役割を持つこと。その他の関連研究から、 TNFシグナル系におけるTRAF6の役割を解析し、TNFの多彩な生理作用を明らかにする有意義な結果が得られた。
