代謝物質の種類と量を測定するメタボローム解析の高精度化、高感度化、ハイスループット化、バイオインフォマティクスツールの開発をおこなって、代謝物質の同定精度と検出感度の向上、大量データ比較の高速化・自動化を達成した。これらを大腸菌やイネ葉、唾液、ガン細胞などのメタボローム解析や代謝経路推定、代謝流速解析に応用することによって、omics解析基盤技術の１つとして実用的な技術であることを実証した。
