近年、ゲノム情報発現系における新たな調節・制御分子としてマイクロ RNA(miRNA)が注目されている。miRNAは蛋白質に翻訳されないnon-codingRNAであり翻訳阻害あるいはRNA干渉により標的分子を阻害することから、発生・分化のみならずがん遺伝子やがん抑制遺伝子と同様にがんの発生・分化における分子機序に深く関与すると考えられている。本研究では最終的に個性診断および新規個別化治療法の確立を念頭におき、miRNAの機能的スクリーニングにメチル化解析と発現解析を組み合わせて絞込みを行い、新規がん抑制遺伝子型miRNAの同定を行った。
