背景：ポリ(ガンマ-グルタミン酸)(PGA)は納豆菌が産生する生分解性ポリマーであり、いわゆる納豆の粘りの成分である。これを放射線照射により架橋したポリ(ガンマ-グルタミン酸)架橋体(PGAXL)は吸水しながら粘張なハイドロゲルを形成する。本実験では後側方開胸手術を想定したマウス創部癒着モデルを作成し、PGAXLの癒着防止効果について検討した。閉胸肋間と臓側肺胸膜間、閉胸肋間とその直上の筋層縫合部との間には中等度以上の癒着が見られたが、いずれの癒着もPGAXL撒布により軽減される傾向が見られた。
