本研究の主題は、主に野球の打撃動作に注目し、競技者の知覚スキルについて実験的検討を行うとともに、熟達化についてdeliberate practiceに関する調査を行うことにより、熟練したスキルを支えるメカニズムを検証することである。具体的には、蔽技術を用いた視覚刺激に対する打者の知覚スキル、打撃動作における知覚-行為カップリング、スキルの熟練度と練習の微細構造の関係について検討を行った。
