生分解性ポリマーであるポリ乳酸(PLA)及び温度応答性ポリマーであるpoly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm)を用いてPNIPAAm-PLA/PLAブレンドナノ粒子(温度応答性ナノ粒子)を作製した。温度応答性ナノ粒子は、LCSTを境に低温側では水和層形成によりステルス性を備え、粒子表面が疎水性になることにより、細胞取り込み効率が向上する粒子を作製することができた。本研究では炎症性疾患に使用するリン酸ベタメタゾンを内封し、薬物放出実験、血清タンパクとの安定性、細胞内への取り込み観察を行った。温度応答性ナノ粒子は、温度による取り込み制御が可能なDDS製剤であることが示された。
