免疫染色法および免疫電子顕微鏡法で皮膚における樹状細胞の形態および接着分子の解析を試みた。免疫電子顕微鏡法では抗体の染色性不良に加えて細胞変性が強く樹状細胞の形態を判別することは困難であった。免疫染色法ではランゲリン陽性真皮樹状細胞は毛嚢周囲に多く認められ、真皮における遊走中のランゲルハンス細胞が複数のランゲリン陽性真皮樹状細胞と密に接していることが観察された。局所で樹状細胞サブセットが密に接触し、何らかの情報を交換している可能性が示唆され、今後の研究につながる重要な知見が得られた。
