挙児希望の前立腺癌患者に対する妊孕性保持可能な放射線療法の研究開発を行った。前立腺照射用ファントムを作成し、強度変調放射線治療(IMRT)計画を行った。得られた計画にしたがって、ファントムに対する放射線照射を行った。ガラス線量計を用いて、精巣ファントムの線量を測定した。結果、78Gy/39Fr.の照射では、精巣ファントムの線量は0.34Gy と算出された。したがって、一時的不妊を来すと考えられるが、永久不妊は避けられる値であった。
