本研究課題では、カポシ肉腫関連ウイルスの遺伝子発現による薬剤感受性の変化を検討した。その結果、ウイルス遺伝子発現細胞株では、抗がん剤感受性に感受性、特に、vFLIP発現でブレオマイシンに対して顕著な高感受性化が認められた。その原因について検討したところ、NF-kappaB経路の阻害蛋白質のIkBalphaのノックダウンで同様のブレオマイシン高感受性化が認められた。
