表皮基底膜は表皮-真皮接合を担う重要な組織であり、多くの構成成分からなる。これら構成成分間の相互作用を明らかにすることは、表皮基底膜部に裂隙を生じる水疱症の病態解明にとって必要不可欠である。今回、我々は基底膜構成成分であるラミニン332(旧・ラニミン5)を欠損しているヒト皮膚組織を用いて、XVII 型コラーゲン等の表皮基底膜構成成分の微細局在部位を、最も信頼性が高いpost-embedding 免疫電顕により解析した。その結果、ラミニン332欠損ヒト皮膚におけるXVII型コラーゲンC末端の分布は、正常ヒト皮膚における分布とは異なっていたことから、生体内において、両者が何らかの相互作用をしている可能性が示唆された。
