子宮癌のEMTに影響を与える候補遺伝子として子宮体癌においてMYEOを選択し、子宮頸癌ではHOXD9を選択した。子宮体癌細胞株でMYEOVの遺伝子発現を抑制すると、運動能および浸潤能が低下した。EMT関連分子をsiRNAでMYEOVを発現抑制した細胞株で評価したところ、Snail、Snail2、ZEB１は低下し、fibronectinは上昇した。子宮頸癌細胞株4種でHOXD9を抑制したところ、全ての細胞で増殖が停止ししたが、EMTマーカーに共通した変化は認められなかった。
