本研究では、企業の合併・買収に焦点を当て、投資家および経営者などの市場参加者の行動と価格変動の関連性について分析を行った。投資家と金融市場の関連性に焦点を当てた分析においては、パフォーマンスの評価期間が短期の場合、市場価格がファンダメンタルバリューから乖離する可能性があることなどの興味深い現象を見出した。経営者の意思決定および投資家の評価に関する分析では、買収取得対価の違いにより買収企業の発行する社債価格の挙動に違いがみられることを見出した。
