1)豚の正常肺において, 凍結-融解3サイクルを行い等温度曲線を描画し, 解析を行った. 1回目のサイクルによって肺胞内への出血が見られ, プローブ周辺の熱拡散率を上げ, 2回目の凍結でより広範囲を凍結させることが可能となった. 2)動物肺の病理組織と凍結治療のCTを比較した. 等温度曲線の-20℃以下の領域は治療域の中心部の出血, 浮腫があり, 肺胞構造が破壊されている領域, 臨床例での治療後CTでみられる凍結範囲中心部の濃厚陰影と相関していた.
