強レーザー場を用いた量子状態空間の分割を利用することにより、レーザーを用いた量子制御手法を分子系に応用する際の課題である(1) 緩和過程の回避、(2) 量子制御に要する時間スケールの調整、(3) 多準位量子系に対する物理的制御描像の提示、の3点を解決することが出来た。また、本手法をチオホスゲン分子に適用したところ、位相緩和を効果的に回避しながら、πパルス法等の確立された従来法による量子制御が可能であることを示すことが出来た。
