教育達成、職業達成、所得達成というライフコースにともなう移動における男女の階層的不平等を検討した。その結果、第1に、男性内よりも女性内での進学格差と所得格差が大きかった。第2に、女性にくらべて男性の世代間職業移動格差が大きかったが、その主要因は農業の世代間継承であった。第3に、男性にくらべて女性の世帯所得水準が同居する家族形態の影響を受けやすく、特に若い世代で貧富の格差が大きかった。
