血液—組織関門の形成には組織特異的な関門細胞と血管内皮細胞(EPC)の相互作用がある。その解析のために、組織特異的関門形成細胞株を用いた評価系が望まれる。骨髄由来血管内皮前駆細胞株、TR-BME、を用いた研究で、タキサン系抗癌剤は殺細胞効果を示す濃度よりも低濃度で、EPCの遊走能阻害を主因とした血管発生を阻害し、腫瘍増殖抑制効果を示すことが明らかとなった。
