本研究では, 子宮内膜の増殖・分化に伴って活性化されるチロシンキナーゼSRCが関与する細胞内シグナル伝達経路を, 主にプロテオミクスの手法を用いて分子レベルで解明し, 着床ならびに妊娠成立・維持における役割を明らかにすることを目的とする. その研究のための主要なマテリアルとして, 活性化型SRCのアデノウイルスベクターの作成を試みたが, 最終的には作成には至っていない. しかし, 内膜分化の指標となるレポーターのコンストラクト, 不死化ヒト内膜細胞株, in vivo内膜再構成システムなど, 諸実験に必要なその他の研究マテリアル・研究ツールの準備・作成・確立は行い得た. 一方, 内膜腺上皮の機能発現においては, N-カドヘリンの関与するepithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT)が重要な役割を担う可能性を示した.
