神経膠腫において、Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH)法などにより分子生物学的解析を行い、臨床経過と比較検討することにより、grade 2-3神経膠腫が染色体異常により予後とよく相関するsubgroupに分類されることなどを示した。また、化学療法反応性が予測されるgrade 2-3神経膠腫に対する化学療法先行治療と腫瘍縮小後のsecond-look removalの有用性を示した。また、1p/19q欠失を相関する画像所見を見いだし、手術前に化学療法反応性が予測できる可能性を示した。
