本研究では、gefitinib 耐性ヒト非小細胞肺がん細胞におけるgefitinib 耐性獲得時の形質転換の解析とそれに伴ったGPCR 発現変動について検討した。その結果、GPCR 発現は大きく変動しており、発現が多いGPCR が圧倒的に多いことが明らかとなった。なかでも、κオピオイド受容体(KOR) ならびにアデノシンA2a受容体(A2aR) がgefitinib の耐性獲得において重要であり、KORの刺激あるいはA2aR の阻害が、gefitinib 耐性NSCLC増殖抑制を示し、がん増悪化抑制を導く可能性が示唆された。
