本研究は、自然界の有機無機複合体であるバイオミネラルの形成プロセスおよび構造を応用した材料合成を新しい方向へ展開することを目指すものである。生物にならう材料合成を無機材料からより幅広い物質・材料系へ積極的に展開し、有機結晶や高分子材料の成長制御と階層構造の構築を行った。さらに、得られた材料の光化学特性や電子デバイスとしての応用に関する検討を行った。本研究により、様々な他の有機材料の構造制御に適用しうる新しい手法が提案できたと言える。 The present study is development of biomimetic approaches for syntheses and structure control of organic materials, such as organic polymers and crystals. Biominerals are inorganic/organic composite consisting of inorganic crystals and organic macromolecules. The structure and formation processes inspire the researchers to develop a new approach for materials syntheses. Biomimetic approaches have been studied mainly in inorganic materials. In the current work, biomimetic approaches were expanded to syntheses, structure control, and application of organic materials.
