<和学>とは近世期の日本に発生した、日本の古き文物をめぐる学問および、その学問に基づいて行われた文芸創作をも含んだ、多様な実践のことを指している。本研究では、さまざまな機関が所蔵する一次資料の調査と研究とを通じて、18世紀日本における<和学>という知的実践の史的展開を総合的に解明しようとしたものである。本研究の成果として、近世期の和学者たちの知的な交流のありようや、伝記に関する新たな知見を多く得ることができた。 The term "Wa-Gaku" means Japanese classicism about research works and literally actives in the Edo period. This study aimed at searching and analyzing unpublished materials in various archives, and investigating the history of Wa-Gaku in the 18th century. Through these, I got much original information about intellectual network of the scholars in the pre modern era and their biography.
