Metro networks are generally expressed as the planar map like other railway networks, whereas the distance between upper and lower lines is relatively long in metro networks. This fact arouses the demand to express metro networks as the three-dimensional map that we can easily distinguish the spatial position of each line. This study visualizes the Tokyo Metro network as the three-dimensional map which exhibits the spatial position of each line, and also expresses the volume of passengers per hour of each line as the thickness of link between stations and the size of stations based on the timetable.
