本研究は, 自宅で経口化学療法薬を受ける患者が安全かつ確実な治療の継続を支援するための服薬支援モデルの開発を目的とした。2つの質的研究の結果, 進行胃がん患者は経口抗がん薬治療に対して内的葛藤(Inner conflict in patients with cancer)が生じていた。そしてこのような経口抗がん薬治療を受ける患者を支援する看護師には「看護のプレゼンス(Nursing presence)」が重要であることが示された。これらの結果からpatient-centered careにおけるpatient adherence支援モデルが構造化され, その重要性が明らかになった。 The purpose of this study is to develop a medication taking support model for the patients receiving oral anticancer agents. In this study, two qualitative studies were conducted. As the result, this study made it clear that patients with cancer experienced inner conflict between rational belief and emotional resistance to taking the medication. Another study revealed a compelling need for nursing presence in oral chemotherapy. In their partnership with patients, nurses should be attentive, connect with patients, elicit patients' unmet needs, and provide committed patient support. Rather than traditional reactive approach, proactive patient care is required. From these results, the importance of supporting patient adherence in patient-centered care was revealed.
