本研究はCEFR(欧州言語共通参照枠)に準拠した英語プレイスメントテストの開発を行い, その相乗効果により教育, 測定, 学習の向上を目指すことを目的とした。テスト開発は循環作業であるという基本的立場から, テスティングの手順を構想→開発→実施→検証→再開発と考え, テストの開発サイクルを通してテストの質を徹底的に検証しテストの妥当性を追求した。確定されたプレイスメントテスト4つのバージョンを使用して, 能力別クラス編成のためのテストRPTを実施し, 読解力の分野のデータ分析をおこない, さらに読解分野, 及び総合理解, 文法, 語彙の各分野についての問題, 設問, 難易度設定など詳細な分析をおこなった。 The recent project dealt with the test development analysis and the test data analysis longitudinally, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The analysis was conducted in terms of the CEFR idea as well as the testing cycle idea. The data was mainly collected through a university placement test format. For the reading section, the results indicate that there are both easy and difficult test items among three genres : humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. The way of presenting the test questions or choices, or the content of the test items (e.g. factual, inferential, discoursal, grammatical ability, or the ability to draw conclusions) will determine the difficulty.
