日本語を母語とするドイツ語学習者, とりわけ初学者のための発音教授法および教材の開発を行った。他外国語の発音教育で用いられるサイレント・ウェイ等の指導法も参考にし, 「認知学習法」の理念に基づいた, 学習者の自律学習を促す教授法, すなわち学習者が自らの発音器官をコントロールし既知の音(母語の音)から未知の音を自覚的・体験的に習得することができるような学習のあり方を提示した。さらに, 聞き手の理解を阻害する発音上の問題点こそが優先学習事項と結論づけ, 一連の予備実験の結果から優先事項をリストアップした。最終的に本研究の成果を盛り込んだマルチメディア教材(本, CD, DVD, WEB)を完成させた。 The aim of my research was to develop a method and materials for teaching German pronunciation to Japanese learners of the language. Using the "Cognitive Learning" approach and others as my base, I want to promote a method that encourages learner's autonomy. I would like for learners to learn to control their own vocal chords and take the sounds they know in their native language and transform them into sounds in their new language. This is the practical method of acquiring linguistic ability that I explored in my studies. I determined that addressing the issue of pronunciation errors was one of the first steps to making a speaker better understood. After conducting a series of experiments, I made a list of the most important factors in acquiring proper pronunciation. I concluded my research by turning what I had learned into a variety of multimedia learning materials.
