本研究において, 中枢気道, 末梢肺レベルそれぞれの解剖学的部位固有の組織幹細胞の自己増幅能, 分化能の評価系を確立し, 標準化に成功した。さらに, 中枢気道, 末梢肺レベルそれぞれの解剖学的部位固有の幹細胞に適した組織幹細胞ニッチを作成し, 可能な限り簡略化し, 汎用化のためのプロトコールを確立した。すでに論文化しており, 本方法が, 汎用化されれば, 肺の発生, 老化, 癌化の機序に関する研究が促進され, 肺組織幹細胞を利用した再生医療の発展にもつながる。 In this study, we have established several methods to optimize the culture system of lung stem cells isolated central and peripheral lung epithelium. Especially, our novel finding is to find the method to culture stem cells with fibroblasts as a niche. Our new methods published will be widely used for further investigation of lung stem cells and contribute to lung regenerative medicine.
